a) When traveling east on Illinois cross over Columbus and enter the Garage on the left (north) side of the street
b) If driving west on Grand (north of Theater), you can enter the garage ½ block before Columbus on the left (south) side of the street.

With the election of Mr. Macron in May, the French business community made a collective sigh of relief. The biotech industry, in particular, recognized throughout Europe for its technical advances and contributions to intellectual property development and commercialization, is looking for governmental policies to accelerate the pace of research and development. What is on the French biotech industry's wish list? Chicago Booth alumnus Pierre Courteille, a pharmacist by training, and Chief Commercial Officer & VP Business Development of ABIVAX, a leading firm in the French biotech industry, makes the case for accelerated innovation and competitiveness on a global scale.

Responsibilities include:

--Programming: identifying interesting topics and securing speakers
--Administration: writing publicity, publicizing events through the University and roundtable email distribution list channels, and coordinating with the Alumni Office

Pierre Courteille (Speaker)
Chief Commercial Officer and Vice President Business Development, ABIVAX

Pierre has more than 20 years of experience in marketing and sales within the pharmaceutical industry in France and in Japan, where he has worked for 13 years. He holds a pharmacy degree and MBA from the Booth School of Business at The University of Chicago. At Sanofi-Pasteur Japan, and its joint-venture with Daiichi, Pierre Courteille was in charge of the pre-launch activities of HIB/ meningitis and IPV/polio vaccines as Marketing Manager. At the start of 2005, he became President of Guerbet Japan and VP for Guerbet Asia. He successfully managed the roll-out of its Japanese subsidiary and led the development of other branches in Asia. From 2009, Pierre served as VP Sales for Asia, Latin America and EMEA and met the ambitious objective of optimizing commercial performance across these 3 regions. Prior to joining ABIVAX, Pierre was Senior VP sales and marketing for Guerbet and CEO of MEDEX (medical devices company owned by Guerbet) from 2012.
